Worldbuilding

Build a living encyclopedia of your story world.

Entities

Entities are the building blocks of your world. Duskwrit supports six types:

  • Characters — People, creatures, deities
  • Locations — Places, cities, regions
  • Events — Battles, ceremonies, turning points
  • Organizations — Guilds, governments, factions
  • Items — Weapons, artifacts, documents
  • Concepts — Magic systems, laws, customs

Automatic Extraction

Duskwrit's AI reads your manuscript and automatically identifies entities. Navigate to your project's Lore page and click Extract Entities. The AI analyzes your text and creates entity cards with names, types, and descriptions.

Relationships

Entities can have relationships — allies, rivals, family ties, locations where events happened, or organizations characters belong to. These relationships power the lore graph visualization.

Lore Graph

The lore graph is an interactive visualization of all entities and their connections. Each entity is a card pinned to a board, with colored strings connecting related entities.

  • Click an entity card for quick details
  • Double-click to open the full entity page
  • Drag cards to rearrange the layout
  • Scroll to zoom in and out
  • Use the sidebar to filter by type

Entity Detail Pages

Each entity has a dedicated page showing its description, attributes, mention count, relationships, and the scenes where it appears. Edit entity details to add custom attributes like age, role, or abilities.
