Rich Text Formatting
The editor supports standard formatting via the toolbar or keyboard shortcuts:
- Ctrl+B — Bold
- Ctrl+I — Italic
- Ctrl+U — Underline
- Ctrl+Shift+S — Strikethrough
- Ctrl+Shift+1/2/3 — Headings
Auto-Save
Your work saves automatically every 2 seconds. The status indicator at the bottom shows:
- Saving... — Changes are being saved
- Saved — All changes saved
- Error — Save failed (will retry automatically)
Chapter Sidebar
The left sidebar shows your chapter and scene structure. Click any scene to navigate to it. Drag chapters to reorder them. Use the + button to add new chapters or scenes.
Focus Mode
Toggle focus mode from the toolbar to hide the sidebar and chrome. Options include:
- Paragraph focus — Dims everything except the current paragraph
- Sentence focus — Highlights only the current sentence
- Typewriter mode — Keeps the cursor vertically centered
Find & Replace
Press Ctrl+F to open find, or Ctrl+H for find and replace. Supports case-sensitive and whole-word matching.
Word Count & Stats
Real-time word count is shown at the bottom of the editor. The project detail page shows aggregate stats across all chapters and scenes, including reading time estimates.
